Structural Repairs:

  • Demolition:
    • Carefully remove all loose, broken, and unstable sections of the canopy without further damaging adjacent structural components.
    • Safely remove any compromised framing members and debris.
  • Framing:
    • Inspect the exposed wood framing and supports.
    • Replace any damaged wood beams or joists with code-compliant lumber.
    • Reinforce surrounding structure to ensure full load support and stability.

Exterior Repairs:

  • Sheathing:
    • Replace any compromised sheathing or plywood surfaces as necessary.
  • Stucco/EIFS Finish:
    • Patch the exterior stucco or EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish System) to match the existing texture and color.
    • Apply mesh tape and proper bonding agents where needed to prevent future cracking.
    • Smooth and feather patch areas into surrounding surfaces.
  • Painting:
    • Prime and paint all repaired areas to blend seamlessly with the rest of the canopy and building facade.
    • Paint will match existing color as close as possible unless otherwise directed.

Additional Work:

  • Soffit and Fascia:
    • Replace or repair soffit and fascia panels as necessary.
    • Ensure proper alignment and secure attachment.
  • Lighting Fixtures:
    • Inspect canopy lighting fixtures for any damage.
    • Adjust, resecure, or replace if necessary after canopy repairs are complete.
